Knockout

A+ on your research. KO 2.0 has been offered for $99 if you buy the right kind of graphics tablet (I don't recall which), but I would be suspicious of the Provantage listing; It seems way too low without it being an upgrade version or tied to some other type of promotion.

Once upon a time Corel purchased Knockout 1.5 from (I believe) Metacreations. Then part of Corel morphed into a division called Procreate. When Knockout 2 came out, it was under the Procreate label (as is Painter 8, for example). Bottom line: Corel Knockout 2.0 = Procreate Knockout 2.0. It's a very capable program and in some situations works very very well, but in some situations doesn't buy you that much. Provantage at shows Corel KnockOut v2.0 for $82.45 (backordered).

Provantage is one of Corel's authorized resellers. I'm not sure this is the correct item because (1) it's about one third the cost elsewhere ($300), and I presume this is the full version, and (2) the cover of the software in the above link looks different from Corel's site ($329). Doing a search for 'procreate knockout' at Amazon.com shows which appears to be the same as the Corel for $300 for the PC version but searching for 'Corel Knockout' reveals essentially nothing.

Is the Knockout at the Provantage link for $82 the same as Corel Knockout v2.0? Is Corel Knockout the same as Procreate Knockout? Wale more about nothing. Any help would be appreciated.
