Donald Glover New Album
Getty Image, also known as Childish Gambino, formerly known as Troy on Community, and soon to be known as, has confirmed a rumor about potential music on the horizon. On an app the rapper tweeted out a week ago, many were speculating that Gambino was planning a new album. Glover is set to drop Pharos, his first studio album since 2013’s Because The Internet, in September, according to the app. His last offering was the mixtape STN MTN/Kauai, which was released in 2014, and back in 2015,. Regardless, the multi-talented and virtuoso rapper will be premiering Pharos during a series of events at Joshua Tree in California.
Details of the “full album experience” were released on Gambino’s Pharos Earth app over the weekend. The experience will take place Sept. 2, 3 and 4 and will include on-site camping. Tickets are $99 and will be available early on the app on June 24. For non-app folks, tickets will be available three days later on June 27. With a new show, Glover is looking to be pretty busy this fall. The series is already being talked about as being one of the season’s most highly anticipated.
